I am a Texas native and proud to be a third-generation lawyer, continuing the legacy of Knights practicing law in Madison County and the surrounding counties. It all started with my late grandfather, Roger Knight, Sr., who started his law practice in the 1940s in Madison County. In addition to practicing law, Roger Knight Sr. was two-term member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1941-1945 and the Texas Senate from 1945-1949. My father, Roger Knight, Jr., started practicing law in the mid-1960s, with a primary emphasis of representing clients who were injured on the job, automobile accidents, and oilfield related injuries. I joined my father’s law practice in 1992, where we practiced together until his death. In 2020, I launched my own firm, Kevin R. Knight, P.C., where I continue to represent clients who have been harmed due to the conduct of others.

 I graduated from Madisonville High School in 1980 and Sam Houston State University in 1984. I graduated from South Texas College of Law – Houston in 1988. I have been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law since 1995. I am the only attorney practicing in Madison County that is board certified in personal injury trial law, and one of only two lawyers that regularly practice in the 12th and 278th District Courts located in Walker, Madison, Leon and Grimes Counties. I am a longstanding member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and have been a member of American Board of Trial Advocates, an organization that only accepts experienced trial lawyers, since 2002. I am licensed to practice law in the Southern District of Texas, Western District of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.
